No, it is not possible to drop biology and then study medicine. Biology is a fundamental subject that provides the necessary foundation for understanding the human body, its functions, and diseases. Without a strong background in biology, it would be extremely challenging to succeed in medical school and become a competent healthcare professional. Therefore, it is essential to have a solid understanding of biology before pursuing a career in medicine. **

A dash is a punctuation mark that is used to separate or emphasize information within a sentence. It is longer than a hyphen and can be used in place of commas, parentheses, or colons to create a pause or break in the sentence. Dashes can add emphasis, provide additional information, or set off a phrase for clarity or emphasis. **

When using apposition, both commas and dashes can be used to set off the appositive phrase. Commas are more commonly used and create a lighter separation between the appositive and the rest of the sentence. Dashes, on the other hand, create a stronger break and can be used for emphasis or to draw attention to the appositive. Ultimately, the choice between comma and dash depends on the writer's preference and the desired tone of the sentence. **

Doing a paramedic training course before studying medicine can be worth it for several reasons. First, it provides valuable hands-on experience in emergency medical care, which can be beneficial in understanding the practical aspects of medicine. Additionally, it can help in building a strong foundation in patient assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Moreover, it can also provide a competitive edge in medical school applications and interviews, as it demonstrates a commitment to patient care and a deeper understanding of the healthcare field. However, it is important to consider the time and financial commitment of completing a paramedic training course before pursuing a medical degree. **
